History:

Coming from an Army family, I moved around a lot when I was younger. The longest I have ever lived in one place is now 14 years here in Plano. Before then the longest I had been somewhere is 5 years. The shortest time I have been somewhere is 13 months in Lawton, Oklahoma. Moving was a hassle, but it has shown me that life can be short in one particular area so make friends and cherish them because you never know when you might lose touch. Because of the moves, my best friend became and still remains my sister. Being the introvert that I am, friends and social scenes do not come easy, but she was always there to listen and offer help. I feel lucky to have such a good friendship with her. (Hey, we have lived together in an apartment and now a house for over seven years without driving each other crazy)

When I left Texas to go to school in Wisconsin, the only thing I could think about was getting out of Texas, and living somewhere else. Then in Wisconsin, the only thing I could think about was coming home and living in Texas. In the past I have reluctantly said I am a Texan, but now that I have lived four years outside of Texas, I can say with much certainty, I'm glad I am a Texan. I am also glad that I live in the Metroplex because there is so much to do here and things stay open past 6pm. I feel lucky and am glad that I was able to come back down and find a job here especially here in Allen, where there is plenty to do, yet the small town atmosphere still hangs on. So it is my hope to raise a family here in this area and not move from a great community.
